Reflex Test
The target moves after every hit and the window shrinks. One miss ends the run. How long can you keep the streak?
A reaction test with a twist
The reflex test combines three things: reaction, because each target appears without warning; accuracy, because you have to land the hit inside it; and concentration, because the window to hit each target shrinks from 1.5 seconds towards 0.42 as your streak grows. Your score is the number of consecutive hits, and you also get your average and best time from target to hit.
The rules are the same as TAPP Dodge. In the app the target sequence comes from a server seed, so every streak is verified and goes on its own Dodge leaderboard.
How to build a longer streak
- Keep your eyes on the centre of the arena, not on the last target.
- Don't tap during the gap between targets. Wait for the target, then commit.
- Hit the middle of the circle. Edges get riskier as targets shrink.
Questions
What is a good reflex test score?
Ten consecutive hits is a solid first run. Twenty means you're keeping calm while targets get small and fast. Streaks beyond thirty are exceptional.
Is this the same as the reaction time test?
No. The reaction time test measures a single response to a signal in milliseconds. The reflex test adds aiming and a rising difficulty curve, and scores a streak instead.
Can I play with a keyboard?
The reflex test needs positional input, so it's played with touch or a mouse. The reaction time test and all tap tests support the keyboard.
